What We Offer

2 Year Play and Learn (Children must be 2 years of age by December 1, 2024.)

This program is an opportunity for your child to gain exposure to the social world outside of the home. Children participate in a variety of activities that are designed to encourage and strengthen developing skills and language. An emphasis is placed on learning through both structured and free play. Activities include story-time, songs and finger plays, memory skills, dramatic play, labeling objects, shape and color matching, gluing, coloring, painting and gross motor activities.

to improve fine and gross motor skills)

3-year old Nursery Program (Children must be 3 years of age by December 1, 2024)



Our Nursery Program focuses on socialization, cooperative play and academic skills such as color and shape identification and counting. Children are encouraged to become more independent, such as putting on/taking off outerwear and helping to clean up the classroom cooperatively. Children are also encouraged to communicate needs to teachers and peers, share experiences with teachers and peers, follow simple directions, listen attentively to stories and actively participate in language-enhancing activities such as Show and Tell. Many activities are geared towards improving gross motor skills, such as Circle Time, during which children move, dance and sing. Children participate in many activities designed to improve fine motor skills such as art projects, cutting, gluing, working with pencils and fine markers.

  • 2 or 3 Day Morning or Afternoon Class

4-year old Pre-K Program (Children must be 3 years of age by December 1, 2024.)

 

Our Pre-K program focuses on the social and academic skills necessary for kindergarten readiness. Children become more independent and cooperative and practice work habits that will help enable future academic success. Children work on improving listening skills and following directions, engage in group discussions and working together during group activities. Children are encouraged to respect their classmates and teachers, express emotions in appropriate ways, demonstrate independence and pride in self. Academic topics include identifying letters and recognizing letter sounds, recognizing and writing first name, counting and number identification and understanding 1:1 correspondence. Children are introduced to a variety of songs for all topics in our curriculum. The program also focuses on improving fine motor skills such as holding a pencil and scissors correctly, zipping jackets, etc.
